Preparations for La Festa in Rochester are underway. The 21st annual picnic is scheduled for July 29, 2001.

Francesco Arioli, a passenger on the Italian Immigrant Ship The Cachmire, has been identified. Some of his ancestry/lineage can be found in the genealogy section.

The number of names in the genealogy database has increase to over 1,100 names. That's an increase of over 100 names since the last update.

We are sad to report yet another death. Leucio "Macrine" Del Vecchio passed away early yesterday morning. He was 99 years old. We all thought he would reach the magic 100. His death follows the death of Maria Antonia "Palmira" Dev Vecchio-Palozzi on April 7 and Leucio was Maria's uncle.
We wish to express our sincere condolences to each and every member of the immediate families.

Maria Antonia "Palmira" Palozzi passed away on April 7 in Toronto. She was born on March 28, 1915.
Piero Tantalo, brother of Mario Tantalo, died April 9.
