The St. Anthony Festival at Marylake will be held on June 15. Details of the
feast can be found under the Canada section under St.
Anthony 2003. Raffle tickets are ready. We have great prizes
this year. A book of tickets is only $10. If you would like to make a donation

I am saddened to report the
following death.
SANTA (Bianchi) PALOZZI passed away yesterday. Santa was the
oldest person ever to have been born in Villavalleonga. She was
over 100 years old when she died. The funeral home is called DEL MORO, (416)
249-4499, located at 61 Beverly Hills Dr in Toronto (Jane & Wilson area).
Visiting hours start today on Tuesday, at 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm,
also on Wednesday at 2:00pm to 4:00pm. and again at 07:00pm. The funeral mass
is at St. Philps, on Thursday at 11:30am. The cemetery is at Holy Cross. Our
deepest symathies and prayers to family and friends.

Maria Clauser, Lucy Tantalo and myself went to a family history center in Toronto
and retrived all the births in Villavallelonga for the year 1865. I have posted
a spreadsheet that lists each birth for this year. Click the following link.

A digital camera was used to photograph each birth certificate but the quality
varies from poor to good.
I will be posting the deaths in 1865 followed by marriages and then the same
for other earlier years as data is screened.
We should be able to post almost all the births, deaths and marriages from
1805 to 1865. However, we are still searching for microfilm data for the years
1866 and forward.
